Accounts & Subscriptions
Check your account and subscription status before importing a subscription or connecting. Treat your subscription link like a password and store it securely.
What do I need to create an account?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password from the account creation page in the user panel, then store your login details securely. Use a unique password and keep it in a trusted password manager. Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps. After creating your account, check your plans, orders, and usage status in the panel, then choose a service if needed. Never share your password or subscription link in public groups, and don’t rely on your browser’s signed-in state as your only account record. If you can’t log in, check your username, keyboard input settings, and password capitalization, then follow the help process.
How do I update my subscription link, and why aren’t new routes showing up?
Sign in to the user panel and check your subscription status and remaining data, then get the current subscription details from the panel. In your client, find the imported subscription configuration and update or refresh it. When that’s done, reopen the route list and make sure the active configuration is the one you just updated. Updating a subscription syncs route details; it doesn’t activate a plan or restore used-up data. If the refresh fails, check that your local network can reach the panel and note any error shown by the client. If you previously reset your subscription details, use the current information shown in the panel. When submitting a support ticket, include the client name and error message, but don’t paste your full subscription link.
Do I need to choose a new plan when switching devices? Can I use multiple devices at once?
There’s no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time, and switching devices alone doesn’t mean you need a new plan. VPN82 supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Sign in to the user panel on your new device, follow the platform-specific instructions to get a client, and import your subscription. The panel shows which client downloads and access options are available; check it directly for the iOS download option. Device connections and plan data allowances are separate: unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, so keep an eye on your account’s data balance. When you stop using an old device, remove its subscription configuration. If a device is lost or your subscription details were exposed, check your account and secure your access credentials promptly.
Where can I get the client, and how can I confirm the subscription imported successfully?
Download the client from the download section of the user panel. Don’t assume that an installation file with the same name in search results is provided by VPN82. In the panel, select your device platform, install the client as instructed, then import the subscription details provided there. The panel shows the iOS download option and access requirements. After importing, you should see the subscription configuration and route entries in the client. Choose a route and connect, then check access using the intended app or an international website rather than relying only on the connection indicator. If the configuration is empty, make sure the import is complete and your plan is active, then update the subscription. See the getting started guide for the full process.
Connections & Troubleshooting
Distinguishing between local network, client settings, and destination service issues can help you avoid unnecessary reinstalls. Keep the exact error message; it’s more useful for troubleshooting than simply saying the connection failed.
The client says it’s connected, but websites still won’t load. What should I check first?
A connected status only means the client has started the connection process; it doesn’t confirm that your traffic is using the right route. First, disconnect and make sure your local network can access everyday websites. Then check your subscription status, remaining data, and currently selected configuration. Try another route and confirm that you’ve granted any network permissions required by your system. If nothing loads, check your system proxy, tunnel mode, and local network first. If only one website fails, note its domain and check your routing rules or the site’s own access requirements. Change one setting at a time and keep the original error message so you can identify the cause.
Why does my browser work, but a specific app won’t use the proxy?
Apps handle network connections differently. Some use the system proxy, while others use their own connection method, so a working browser doesn’t mean every app follows the same route. Check whether the client is using rule mode, system proxy, or tunnel mode, then see if routing rules exclude the app. If you need tunnel mode, grant the permissions requested by the client and your system. Restart the app after switching modes, then test again. Don’t leave system security settings disabled just to fix one app. If the issue continues, note the app name, operating system, connection mode, and error message. In your support ticket, explain how the browser and app behave differently.
What should I do if subscription import fails or the route list is empty?
First, identify whether the error occurs while fetching the subscription, parsing the configuration, or connecting to a route. If fetching fails, check that your device can reach the user panel, then copy the current subscription details from the panel again. Make sure you haven’t included extra spaces or line breaks or left anything out. If parsing fails, use the client and import method recommended for your platform in the panel; don’t mistake a webpage address for configuration content. If the route list is empty, check your subscription status and update it. Avoid importing repeatedly, which can create duplicate configurations. To get help, share the error text and a screenshot with account details hidden. Your subscription link is an access credential, so never post it in public discussions or leave it visible in screenshots.
Still having trouble? What information should I include in a support ticket?
Sign in to the user panel and open the support ticket section. Describe what’s happening rather than simply saying it doesn’t work. Include your device platform, client name, affected app or website, selected region and route type, and the exact error shown by the client. Also say whether your local network works, whether switching routes helped, and whether the browser and app behave the same way. This helps identify whether the issue is with your local network, routing settings, or the destination service. Hide your username, subscription link, payment account details, and other sensitive information in screenshots. Check logs for access credentials before sharing them. Never send your login password. Watch for replies in the panel and provide any additional details requested.
Speed & Routes
Choose a region based on the destination service, then compare sustained performance. Route type, latency, and app experience each tell you something different; none is a substitute for the others.
Videos buffer during peak hours. How can I find the cause?
First, check how widespread the buffering is: does it affect only the video, or are other websites noticeably slower too? Then check whether your Wi-Fi, background downloads, or device updates are using bandwidth. Keep the video and playback conditions similar while testing routes in other regions or route types. Don’t change the app, video quality, and network all at once, or it will be harder to pinpoint the cause. Peak-hour performance depends on your local connection, international routes, and the streaming platform. A single connection or latency test doesn’t predict sustained playback quality. Try lowering video quality to see whether throughput is the issue, then restore your settings gradually. If the problem happens consistently, note the time, region, route type, and symptoms, then submit a support ticket.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?
Route types describe how a connection is routed; they aren’t a universal ranking for every use case. IEPL routes use dedicated international links, relay routes forward traffic through an intermediate access point, and direct routes reduce intermediate forwarding. Actual performance also depends on your local carrier, the destination region, and how the app connects. Start by checking which region the service you want to use requires, then compare the available routes in that region for connection quality and sustained performance. Don’t judge speed by the route name alone, and don’t assume a shorter geographic distance means every app will work better. The locations page lists regions and route types; the routes currently available are shown in the panel and your updated subscription.
Which regions are available? Can I choose a route by region for streaming and AI tools?
VPN82 covers 120+ countries with 230+ routes. Check the locations page or user panel for specific options. When choosing a region, consider where the service is available, your account’s region, and its current access requirements—not just which region looks closest. Streaming libraries, access to AI tools, and account permissions are determined by the destination platform. A working network connection doesn’t guarantee your account meets the platform’s requirements. After choosing a region, keep your access environment reasonably consistent. If the platform displays a message, check what it says before switching routes. Avoid repeated sign-in attempts across different regions in a short period. See the streaming guide and AI tools guide for more details.
Why are downloads or videos slow even when route latency is low?
Latency measures how long a request takes to travel back and forth. Downloads and video playback depend more on sustained throughput, packet loss, and the destination server’s response, so low latency doesn’t guarantee smooth playback. Client tests usually reflect a specific destination at the time of testing and may not follow the same path as your app. Compare routes using the same content. Check for persistent buffering or frequent download stalls, and review your local network and background activity. If websites load normally but large files download slowly, try another route in the same region before reinstalling the client. When contacting support, describe what happens in the app rather than sending only a latency screenshot.

Billing & Refunds
First, distinguish monthly plans from data packs, then check your order status. Compare prices, data allowances, and billing rules on the plans page. Your account status in the panel reflects your current service.
How much do monthly plans and data packs cost, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Data packs cost ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They don’t expire and can be used until the data runs out. Choose a monthly plan for regular use or a data pack for occasional use; data packs aren’t monthly top-ups. Monthly data resets based on your activation date, not necessarily on the first day of a calendar month. Compare prices on the plans page. Check your remaining data, subscription status, and order history in the user panel after activation.
What payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my panel doesn’t update after payment?
VPN82 supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Create an order in the user panel and follow the payment instructions shown for that order. Confirm the plan and amount before proceeding. If the status doesn’t update after payment, return to the panel and check the order. Make sure you paid the current order and completed the payment process, then refresh the order status. Don’t create and pay for another order for the same purchase just because the page hasn’t updated yet. If the payment record and panel status still don’t match, submit a support ticket with the order details, payment method, and a receipt with sensitive information hidden. Don’t post payment account details or an unredacted transaction screenshot on a public page.
How do I request a 7-day no-questions-asked refund, and what information do I need?
VPN82 offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and open a support ticket. Clearly state that you’re requesting a refund, include the order details needed for verification and your payment method, and see the Terms of Service for full conditions. You don’t need to troubleshoot first. If you also want help with your connection, you can provide your device and issue details separately, but don’t let troubleshooting delay your refund request. Before submitting, confirm that the order belongs to your account and hide unrelated account details on payment receipts. The ticket reply will confirm the review and processing status. Submitting a request doesn’t mean the refund has already arrived. Never share your login password or full subscription link in public discussions.
How do I upgrade a monthly plan or handle a low data balance?
If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. First, check your current plan, remaining data, and status in the panel. Then open the plans section and review the details of the upgrade order. Don’t calculate the amount due or remaining allowance yourself by subtracting prices. If you’re running low on data, compare monthly plans with data packs that never expire. A data pack can be used until it runs out and doesn’t reset monthly. Follow the panel’s instructions for using or switching between products in your account. If anything is unclear, confirm it through a support ticket before continuing. After making a change, check your panel status and update the client subscription configuration if needed.
