VPN82 Setup Guide

Set up your account, choose a plan, import your subscription, and verify your connection. Follow the steps in order, then choose a server based on the website you want to access.

Create an account and save your credentials

Select “Start Free” below to open the VPN82 user panel, then enter a username and password on the account creation page. No email address is required. Choose a username that’s easy to recognize but doesn’t reveal sensitive personal information. Use a unique password and store it in your password manager. Before submitting, check your entries—especially capitalization and your keyboard input settings—to avoid trouble signing in later.

Once your account is created, follow the on-screen instructions to open the user panel. If you’re taken back to the login page, sign in with the username and password you just saved; there’s no need to create another account. Check that you’re in the right account before choosing a plan. Your orders, subscription, and client downloads are all managed there. Use the same account when switching devices; you don’t need a separate account for each one.

“Start Free” takes you to the account creation process; it doesn’t automatically activate a paid plan. Check plan prices, data allowances, and order status in the user panel. Creating an account is just the first step. Next, choose a billing option that suits how often you’ll use the service.

Choose a plan and review your order

Open the plans section in the user panel. First, distinguish monthly subscriptions from data packages, then compare the data allowances. Monthly plans suit regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the day your plan starts, not at the beginning of each calendar month; check your account for the exact billing cycle. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Review the change details shown in the panel before confirming.

Data packages suit occasional or irregular use: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They remain valid indefinitely and are used until the data runs out. These aren’t monthly subscriptions, and the data doesn’t automatically renew each month. If you only visit international websites occasionally, compare a data package with a monthly plan. For frequent video streaming, consider your typical data use rather than the upfront price alone.

After choosing a plan, review its name, price, data allowance, and billing terms on the order confirmation page. Pay using the Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT option provided. Then return to the user panel to check that the order is complete and your subscription status has updated. If the payment page and panel don’t show the same status right away, check your order history before trying again. Don’t submit the same order repeatedly.

VPN82 allows unlimited simultaneous devices and offers a 7-day refund policy. The device limit doesn’t mean each device has its own data allowance, so keep an eye on the data shown in your account. See the plans page for full pricing details and the Terms of Service for the refund policy. Once your plan is active, go to the overview to get your subscription.

Get your subscription link from the panel

Open the account overview in the user panel and find the subscription section. The subscription link lets your client retrieve the server configuration for your account. It isn’t a list of servers to enter one by one or a regular webpage bookmark. If the panel offers a quick-import option for your client, use it on a device where that client is installed. Otherwise, copy the link and paste it into the client’s subscription or configuration import field in the next step.

After copying the link, switch directly to the client you plan to use. Don’t paste it into a search engine, public document, or group chat, and don’t use public online tools to inspect it. Treat your subscription link like an account credential and store it securely. If you need to share a screenshot for troubleshooting, hide the full link and any identifying information. This guide doesn’t provide subscription links; get yours from your own user panel.

If there’s no subscription option in the overview, return to the orders and plans section and check that your payment is complete, your plan is active, and your account has data available. Reinstalling the client usually won’t fix an account status issue. If everything looks correct but you still can’t get your subscription, sign in to the panel and submit a support ticket describing the message you see and the steps you’ve tried.

To use VPN82 on multiple devices, sign in to the same account on each one and get your subscription. VPN82 supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux, with unlimited simultaneous devices. The steps below cover common desktop and mobile platforms. Linux users should follow the client instructions in the panel rather than applying permission steps from another operating system.

Import the client on your platform

Select your device’s platform in the downloads section of the user panel. After signing in, you can get the VPN82 client for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux. Downloading the client and activating a plan are separate steps; installing the app doesn’t mean you have an active subscription. The iOS client link is provided through the panel for accounts with a purchased, unexpired plan. Always use the download link in the panel, not installation files from unknown sources.

Get the client

Windows: Import your subscription

Sign in to the panel on your Windows device and download and install the VPN82 desktop client. When you first open it, look for configuration management, subscription management, or an option to add a configuration. Choose import from link, paste the subscription link you copied, and save it. If you use the panel’s quick-import option, your browser may ask to open the client. Confirm that it’s the right app, then check the import in the client.

After importing, make sure the new entry appears in the configuration list and select it as your active configuration. Open the server selection area and check that server names or regions are listed. If the list is empty, check that you copied the full link, then try updating the subscription. Don’t use the panel’s login page URL as your subscription link. Verify that both the configuration and server list appear before testing your connection.

macOS: Allow the network extension

Get the VPN82 desktop client from the panel on your Mac and follow the installation prompts shown on your device. Open the subscription or configuration section, import your subscription link, and save it. If the panel supports quick import, you can use your browser to open the client. Then check that the new configuration was saved and is selected.

When you connect, macOS may ask you to allow a network extension or add a network configuration. Check which app is making the request, then follow the system instructions to grant permission. If permission appears to be granted but the client still isn’t routing your connection, check the connection toggle and selected configuration in the app instead of repeatedly importing the subscription. For more on working alongside Apple services and checking system permissions, see our guide to Mac network extensions and compatibility.

Android: Save the configuration and allow the connection

On your Android device, open the downloads section in the panel, get the VPN82 Android client, and install it by following the system prompts. Open the client and choose import from link in the subscription, configuration, or add menu. If the client can read from your clipboard, make sure it’s your subscription link before saving. Otherwise, paste the link manually.

Once the configuration is saved, open the server list, choose a region, and connect. When Android asks for permission to set up a network connection, confirm that you’re using the VPN82 client and allow it. If another app is already routing your traffic, pause its connection to avoid conflicts. Return to the client to check the connection status, then test the app you want to use. For issues with background activity, see connection and troubleshooting help.

iOS: Import through the panel

Sign in to the user panel on your iOS device and open the downloads section to get the VPN82 client using the link shown there. The iOS client link is available only to accounts with a purchased, unexpired plan. If you can’t access it, check your plan status first. Don’t use installation profiles from unknown sources or links shared by someone else.

Once the client is ready, return to the panel and use the import option for your client, or choose import from link in its subscription or configuration settings. If your browser asks whether to open the app, check that it’s the right one before continuing. After importing, choose a server and connect, then follow the iOS prompt to allow the VPN configuration. A connection indicator only confirms that the tunnel is up; follow the next step to check that the website you want actually works.

Connect to a server and verify it works

Return to the client, make sure the active configuration is the subscription you just imported, and choose a server region that suits your needs. For everyday use, start with a server that works well on your current network. If a service requires a specific region, check which regions it supports rather than switching randomly. Connect and check that the client shows an active connection. Approve any system permission prompts before testing.

Open the website or app you want to use and refresh it to see whether the main content loads. Loading the home page alone doesn’t confirm that every feature works. For a streaming service, try playing a video; for an AI tool, check that you can reach its normal interface after signing in. Your connection and access to a third-party account are separate matters. The platform’s account region, subscription tier, or access policies may affect what’s available, so a successful connection doesn’t guarantee access to every feature.

If you can’t access a service after connecting, first check your plan status and remaining data. Then make sure the right configuration is selected, the subscription has updated, and the system has granted connection permission. Next, change servers without altering other settings and check whether the same service works. Change one setting at a time to identify whether the issue is with the server, configuration, or app—and to make it easier to undo any changes.

If regular websites work but a particular app doesn’t, fully close and reopen the app, then check the region of your selected server. Don’t delete your account, reset all system settings, or place another order just to troubleshoot. If the issue persists, submit a ticket through the panel with your device’s operating system, the client’s error message, your selected server, and a description of the problem. Hide your subscription link and account credentials.

That completes the setup. For connection issues or subscription update problems, see the Help Center. For guidance on how streaming services determine your region, video quality, and server selection, read the streaming guide. This page sticks to the essential setup steps so you can get started without changing unnecessary network settings.
